Join us for another FREE movie series presented in partnership with the Mineral Point Public Library. Each movie shown is based on a book in celebration of the Opera House and Library partnership. Movies will be shown on Thursday nights at 7:00 pm, February 12, February 26, and March 12. Concessions will be available for purchase.

The Family Friendly Edition movie is set on a Viking island constantly raided by dragons. A young outcast shoots down a rare dragon but befriends it instead of killing it. The boy learns to fly with his dragon companion and discovers that dragons aren’t naturally violent but have their own complicated story. The movie follows their bond as the boy must bridge the gap between his dragon-fighting village and the truth he’s discovered about these misunderstood creatures. This is the live-action retelling of a popular animated movie. Rated PG.
