Join us for another FREE movie series presented in partnership with the Mineral Point Public Library. Each movie shown is based on a book in celebration of the Opera House and Library partnership. Movies will be shown on Thursday nights at 7:00 pm, February 12, February 26, and March 12. Concessions will be available for purchase.

The Oscar Nominee Edition movie is set in 16th-century England and follows a tutor who marries a farmer’s daughter known for her mystical connection to nature. Together they raise three children, including inseparable twins. When plague strikes the household, the family faces a devastating crisis that strains the marriage and forces both parents to grapple with profound grief in different ways. The story explores how personal tragedy can inspire artistic creation, showing the connection between lived experience and timeless art. This movie has EIGHT 2026 Oscar nominations! Rated PG-13.
