Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody To Love, We Are The Champions, and so many more iconic anthems!
Hailing from Minneapolis, The Crown Jewels brings together some of the area’s finest and most seasoned musicians, all united by a deep love and reverence for one of rock’s greatest bands.
From the soaring vocals to the technically demanding guitar work and thunderous rhythms, this talented ensemble of nationally and internationally touring veterans has worked tirelessly to create a show that does justice to Queen’s legendary catalog and they’re bringing it all to the Opera House stage on Saturday, February 13th, at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30. Advance tickets are $30 for the balcony and lower level, and $40 for the first two rows and box seats, plus taxes and fees. Ticket prices increase by $5 on the day of the show. Friends of the MPOH can purchase tickets on July 1 at 8:00 am; the general public can purchase tickets on July 15 at 8:00 am.
“We put this band together because over the years we all have at some point in our musical careers been influenced by Queen, and we wanted to share our love of this music with the public. While this music is technically very demanding, and takes a lot of extra effort to get right, there is a certain joy that comes from playing it well and doing the music justice. We have worked hard to create a show that even Queen would be proud of.”
From start to finish, the show is incredible with something for everyone, from the hardcore Queen fan to the casual listener. The showmanship on stage is reflected by the resumes of the band members, all of whom are veterans of the music business and who have toured both nationally and internationally with other projects.
