The Mineral Point Opera House is looking forward to bringing Brew City Opera to the stage to perform Orfeo ed Euridice on Friday, February 20, at 7:00 pm and Saturday, February 21, at 7:00 pm! Advance tickets will be $15-$30 and will increase by $5 on the day of the show, plus taxes and fees. Doors will open at 6:00 pm.

Orfeo ed Euridice by Gluck is a tale of love’s elation, devastation, and redemption. The mischievous spirit of love (Amore) takes Orfeo’s new bride, Euridice, soon after their wedding. Amore offers him the opportunity to bring her back to life if he can rescue Euridice from death without looking at her. Orfeo accepts the journey through the underworld, contends with furies of resistance, suspicion, doubt, and temptation in an attempt to reunite with his beloved. At every turn, Amore makes his journey more difficult, and only his devotion and passion can free Euridice from death.
