Homegrown and proud of it, this is Wisconsin blues at its very best.

Madison’s own The Jimmys is a powerhouse seven piece blues band coming to the Opera House on Saturday, February 20th, at 8:00 pm. Doors open at 7:00. Advance tickets will be $20 for the lower and upper levels and $30 for the first two rows and boxes, plus taxes and fees. Ticket prices increase by $5 on the day of the show. Led by Jimmy Voegeli, a multiple Madison Area Music Award and Wisconsin Area Music Industry Award winner whose Hammond organ, soulful vocals, and larger-than-life stage presence anchor every performance. Blending blues with a touch of R&B and New Orleans funk, the band brings together an exceptional lineup featuring blazing horns, greasy guitars, and a rhythm section that never lets up. Praised by Alligator Records founder Bruce Iglauer as “excellent musicians, wildly fun entertainers” who make every performance feel like a party, The Jimmys have earned a devoted following at festivals, theaters, and stages across the region and beyond.

The Jimmys have released five critically ac-claimed albums of original music and have earned 30+ awards in numerous categories on a highly competitive local, regional, and national level.
