Renowned roots and Americana performer and scholar

Renowned roots and Americana performer and scholar @jake.m.blount will make his Mineral Point Opera House premiere on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 7:30 PM! A specialist in the early folk music of Black Americans, Blount is a skilled performer of spirituals, blues and string band repertoire. Blount has performed at the Kennedy Center, the Newport Folk Festival, NPR's Tiny Desk, and numerous other venues across and beyond the United States.

🚨NEW SHOW!🚨Singer, lyricist, activist, and founding front man of Minneapolis indie-folk cult favorites The Pines, David Huckfelt, returns to the Mineral Point Opera House on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 7:30 PM. Friends of the MPOH will have access to tickets starting Friday, October 25 and the general public can purchase tickets beginning Friday, November 8. Tickets range from $18 to $23 plus Eventbrite fees and will increase by $5 on the day of the show. More information at tickets.mpoh.org.
